VomFASS Sedona to Celebrate Grand Opening July 5 with Showcase Inviting Community to ‘Look, Taste & Enjoy’

‘From the Cask’ Oil, Vinegar, Spirits and Wine Shop Assures Customers a Love-at-First-Taste Experience

One taste and you will be hooked.

Just ask Kim Weiss, the entrepreneur bringing vomFASS to Sedona. Promising an enlightening taste experience, vomFASS is an oil, vinegar, spirits and wine retail concept where every in-shop product is ready for sampling “from the cask” [the English translation of vomFASS]. Products are encased in tantalizing cask pyramids, glass balloons and vinegar and oil crocks. Weiss’ shop, located at the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village (336 State Route 179, C102), creates a one-of-a-kind gathering place for Sedona residents and visiting foodies to discover flavors that turn home-cooked meals and dinner parties into culinary creations.

Weiss announced today a July 5 Grand Opening event to usher in entrance into the market, creating a celebration where community members can soak in all that vomFASS has to offer. Complete with specially prepared food, drinks and recipe sharing, the Grand Opening kick off Thursday, July 5, at 10 a.m. with an official ribbon cutting ceremony with the mayor and continues through 8 p.m. with a series of live cooking and cocktail demonstrations featuring vomFASS signature oils, vinegars, wines and spirits.

“I’m thrilled to be bringing to Sedona a unique concept known for delivering the best oils, vinegars, wines and spirits to customers with a taste-before-you-purchase experience,” Kim Weiss said. “vomFASS truly absorbs people — when I first witnessed it, I fell in love with it so much that I craved bringing the experience to others. Now, I can’t wait to share my passion with all who live and visit Sedona.”

vomFASS features handmade products from selected artisans who use traditional methods and follow exacting standards to produce their products. Weiss is passionate about seeking the freshest, best products — all oils, vinegars, wines and spirits are manufactured by small producers in Europe and the United States using natural processes, sustainable agriculture, and ethical sourcing — vomFASS only sources its products from their origins.

“Kim is the perfect person to bring vomFASS to Sedona. She is a fantastic, talented professional with success creating the sensory experience that defines our brand,” said Justin Gibson, president of Madison, Wis.-based vomFASS USA. “Given her drive, we’re confident she will be helping all in Sedona make the tastiest, healthiest decisions for years to come.”

Weiss is one of the inaugural entrepreneurs to bring the vomFASS retail concept to the United States — Sedona is her second vomFASS location. She is the successful owner of a shop in Jackson Hole, Wy., another picturesque place in its own right.

Weiss is taking a proactive approach to helping customers make sound cooking and dietary decisions. She enjoys introducing customers to the health and taste benefits of a Mediterranean Diet. More of a lifestyle than a diet, the plan is reliant on plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, nuts, olives and olive oil, along with moderate amounts of cheese, yogurt, fish, poultry eggs and wine. These foods form the basis of the plan and provide the nutrition, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber that protect against chronic disease.
