Crescendo in Fort Collins to Celebrate Grand Opening with Elaborate Weekend-Long Taste and See Showcase May 10 to 12

Internationally Acclaimed Oil, Vinegar and Spice Shop Assures Customers a Love-at-First-Taste Experience

Just ask local husband-wife business team Dustin and Lesli Tanski, the duo bringing Crescendo to Fort Collins. An enlightening experience that the Tanskis just had to share with their community, Crescendo captures the senses with its gourmet spices, oils and vinegars. At the internationally celebrated shop, every product is ready for sampling from tantalizing cask pyramids, glass balloons and vinegar and oil crocks. Situated at 123 Main Street at the Opera Galleria, the shop is primed to bring foodies and slow food advocates across the city to a gathering place where ingredients make home-cooked meals exceptional.

The Tanskis announced today a multi-event Grand Opening weekend from Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12 to kick-off Crescendo’s entrance into the market, creating a celebration where community leaders and members can soak in all that the shop has to offer, along with specially prepared food, drinks and exclusive events. The Grand Opening events kick off with an exclusive VIP celebration including catered food and treats made exclusively with Crescendo oils, spices & vinegars from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. Grand Opening festivities continue on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a world-class brand known for delivering the best oils, spices and vinegars to customers encased in a taste-before-you-purchase experience,” Dustin Tanski said. “It has always been a dream of ours to open a shop here in Fort Collins — we now have made this a reality with a wildly successful brand.” The Tanskis are taking a proactive approach to helping customers make sound cooking and dietary decisions. They are advocating a Mediterranean Diet, introducing customers to the health and taste benefits of a diet reliant on plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, nuts, olives and olive oil, along with moderate amounts of cheese, yogurt, fish, poultry eggs and wine. These foods form the basis of the plan and provide the nutrition, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber that protect against chronic disease.

“Dustin and Lesli are the perfect pair to bring Crescendo to Fort Collins. They are talented professionals and have a desire for creating the sensory experience that defines our brand,” said Justin Gibson, president of Madison, Wisconsin-based vomFASS and Crescendo USA. “Given their drive, we’re very confident they will be helping Fort Collins residents make the tastiest, healthiest decisions for years to come.” Crescendo, along with its sister brand vomFASS, which sells an assortment of wines and spirits instead of spice lines, has spread like wildfire across Europe since the launch of the first German-based vomFASS less than twenty years ago. Since then, nearly 300 franchise locations have opened worldwide and the brand has won numerous accolades, including Franchise of Year in Germany in 2010 and 2012.

By selling hand-selected imported European oils, vinegars and spirits and offering an educationally flavorful environment for customers, Crescendo and vomFASS USA have eclipsed projected growth figures this year. In just a few short years of franchising here in the United States, the concept has spread among husband-wife teams and partners seeking a hands-on retail venture that encourages local community ties and embraces a distinct shopping experience.
