If you prefer the charm and tradition of handmade gifts, these biscotti are a perfect option.  vomFASS Almond Oil is the unexpected, yet totally delicious addition to this traditional Italian cookie.

Cranberry Biscotti





  1. Preheat oven to 300º.
  2. In a large bowl mix oil & sugar until well blended.  Mix in vanilla then beat in the eggs.  In another large bowl, combine flour, salt & baking powder; gradually stir into egg mixture.  Mix cranberries and nuts in by hand.
  3. Line the sheet pan with parchment paper & turn dough onto pan; form into one log, 12″ long by about 5-6″ wide and 2-3″ high.  Dough will be very sticky; wet hands with cool water to handle dough more easily.
  4. Bake for 35-45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until logs are light brown.  Remove from oven and set aside to cool for at least 10 minutes.  Reduce oven heat to 275º.
  5. Cut log on the diagonal into 3/4″ thick slices.  Lay on sides on a fresh parchment covered sheet pan.  Bake approximately 8-10 minutes, or until dry; cool.
