Belgian Single Grain Whisky
The Belgian single grain whisky is exclusively produced for vomFASS by Radermacher and is only available in vomFASS stores. Due to the storage in Limousin oak barrels, this whisky receives an especially soft and milky flavor reminiscent of wood and vanilla.
Radermacher Distillery began in 1836 producing schnapps. In 1990 the distillery was taken over by the founder’s grandson, Bernard, who shared his grandfather’s passion. It was this passion and observance of time-honored family traditions that brought Radermacher back to prominence in the market. The distillery is a unique combination of modern technology and heritage recipes.
Until recently this fine whisky was available only in Belgium. Luckily through vomFASS this outstanding product is now available to world-wide whisky connoisseurs.
Spanish Single Malt Whisky
This Spanish single malt is an absolute gem. All casks for this unique product are hand-selected by Master Distillers and have produced a rich, balanced single malt. Mediterranean warmth on the palate and strong notes of American oak with a long-lasting finish make this a real masterpiece. There is no older Spanish Single Malt Whisky from this distillery available on the market, and this particular 14 year old Single Malt from the DYC distillery is exclusively sold at vomFASS.
Destilerías y Crianza del Whisky S.A. (Whisky DYC) is a Spanish company built by Nicomedes García Gómez in 1958. It is currently a subsidiary of Beam Suntory. The first distillery was built in February 1959 in Palazuelos de Eresma, Segovia. In March 1963, they started to produce Whisky DYC, which is the first Spanish whisky. The initial production of one million liters per year climbed to twenty million per year in the 1980s. The distillery is still capable of producing in this quantity, but recently output has only been a fraction of its capacity.
DYC stands for “Destilerias y Crianza del Whisky” (distilling and maturation of whisky) and opened in 1958 at the location of a fifteenth century water mill. This location was selected because of the natural course of Eresma, a river with clear, pure water from snowmelt, resulting in a pure and unique final product.
Swiss Highland Single Malt
This extraordinary whisky is matured in Oloroso sherry barrels, made of American oak, in the Rugen rock cellar that dates back to 1875. This aging results in a complex aroma with slightly woody flavors that are combined with vanilla and caramel notes to create a wonderful interplay with impressive balance. This whisky makes its mark with a long aromatic finish.
Rugenbräu began as a brewery in the heart of the Bernese Oberland in 1866. Owned by the Hofweber family, brewing continued for 100 years offering a traditional selection of lagers, specialty and premium beers. When the law changed in 1999, Rugen began distilling single malt whisky, which appeared on the market in 2003 under the label of “Mountain Highland.” Presentation of the first “Swiss Highland Single Malt” took place in 2008 in Interlaken. Since officially opening the distillery in 2010, production of wort and distillation now takes place under one roof.
The Rugen philosophy is to optimize tradition with innovation to produce products at the highest level.

Keep that Valentine’s Day mood going

- 10 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¼ cup vomFASS Fig Chili Vinegar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup Red Hots, finely crushed (optional)
- Chop the chocolate into tiny pieces and place in a large glass bowl.
- Heat the cream and butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, just to simmering. Pour hot mixture over the chocolate and whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Gradually stir in vomFASS Fig Chili Vinegar, until completely incorporated. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- Using small scoop or melon baller, make chocolate balls and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 45 minutes.
- Place cocoa powder (or finely crushed Red Hots) on a plate. Roll each chocolate ball in the powder, shaping gently into rounds in your palms. Add powder if they get too sticky.
- Truffles may be refrigerated in an airtight container, but bring up to room temperature before serving.
Recipe may be doubled or tripled
